The Academic Affairs Committee will be working with the Center for Complex Systems on planning the Energy theme semester for Fall 2008 and we all want the theme to have a huge impact on the U-M campus. We want your input on what types of events you would like to see relating to the energy theme year and will be holding an organizational meeting with professors and administrators to start planning events that reach out to students, staff, and the Ann Arbor community on Friday, January 11 at 2:30 in a TBA location. This is going to be a huge project and we will need as many people as possible to make this theme a success. If you are interested, email John Monaghan (jpmon@umich.edu) or Andrew Fileti (afileti@umich.edu).

The LSA Informational Technology Committee is meeting with Google - Ann Arbor on Monday, December 17. We are going to discuss the relationship between U of M and Google and how we can improve that relationship. Some ideas that we’re going to discuss are the use of Google Apps (like GMail) and creating a guest lecture series. If you have anything you’d like me to bring up at the meeting, please e-mail me. Armiller@umich.edu. Have a great break!

We will be meeting at 6:30PM in MSA Chambers (3rd Floor of the Michigan Union). This meeting will be VERY VERY VERY long, and as a result Keith and Hannah will be providing pizza (or dinner of some sort). Notice the time change!
Important Notes: We will be having two meetings this night!!! An “out” meeting (the last meeting of the current reps) and an “in” meeting (the first meeting for the newly elected reps), one right after the other. You have the potential of acquiring FOUR absences for missing these two meetings this day!!! Additionally, chair and vice-chair elections for every committee/task force/advisory panel will be held this night. If you’re interested in running in the elections, make sure to talk with the current chair/vice-chair to learn more about the position.
