Purpose
The Academic Affairs Committee’s mission is to give students a voice within the administration, and a chance to make the academic experience at Michigan as beneficial and relevant as it can possibly be. This committee works on a variety of projects, all of which are academically focused. Some of our current projects include:
- Improving the relationship between students and their concentration departments
- Developing Themed Semesters into a more influential and effective
- Creating a greater integration between academics and the campus climate
- Holding dialogues once a semester between students and faculty to discuss academic issues
- Improving study abroad opportunities
- Working with the administration to develop internship for credit options for undeclared students
We meet Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. in the student government office and are always looking for new members. Come let us know what you would like to change about your education.
