Purpose
The Multicultural Affairs Committee (MAC) is a committee designed to address any issues of multiculturalism including but not limited to sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic status, ability, race, ethnicity, etc. The committee also serves as a link between other student organizations to help them to better collaborate and to extenuate the communication between each other. MAC’s purpose is to ensure that the characteristic that the University of Michigan prides itself on, diversity, is truly represented and respected throughout campus and thereby improving the overall campus climate.

I’m a Senior at this university double majoring in psychology and political science. I plan on attending law school (or possibly the Americorp or Teach for America preceeding law school) after undergrad. I’m from Ypsilanti, MI (yep! I’m a local). My motto when it comes to government comes from Gandhi– “Be the change you wish to see in the world”. I focus on increasing student/faculty and student/student group relations and making the overall campus climate more comfortable and accepting.
